GWRRA The Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) is the world’s largest single-marquee social organization for owners and riders of Honda Gold Wing and Valkyrie motorcycles -- and some would say, the world’s largest family. Dedicated to our motto, Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge, GWRRA members enjoy the freedom of belonging to a non-profit, non-religious and non-political organization. Founded in 1977, GWRRA has grown to more than 70,000 U.S., Canadian and international members in 52 foreign countries in 29 years. Over 1,000 active Chapters are managed by 4,000 volunteer leaders working with members to foster safe, enjoyable riding while also working to improve the public image of motorcycling. Once you join GWRRA, you can participate with as many Chapters as you choose. You decide your own level of involvement and time. Wherever you go, wherever you travel, you’re welcomed. Monthly Chapter get-togethers are pleasant, social occasions. There are no expectations, riding requirements, elections, politics, required uniforms or Chapter dues. CA1Y Chapter CA1Y was founded in 1982 with only 10 members, the required minimum amount of people to start a GWRRA chapter. Today, Chapter CA1Y has nearly 100 active members. Although most of our members own Gold Wings, we welcome all motorcycles. Chapter CA1Y’s geographic area includes Northern Santa Barbara County and Southern San Luis Obispo County. The chapter has monthly gatherings which are held on every first Sunday of the month, at the Baker's Square in Lompoc starting at 8:30 am. The gatherings are usually followed by an afternoon ride. The chapter is staffed by volunteers, who keep activities flowing with dinner/pie rides, brown-bag trips, rallies, and other social events. Visit our Calendar page for scheduled rides and events. We welcome you to join us at our next gathering or one of our rides. You won’t regret it. Hope to see you soon! This site is owned and operated by Chapter CA1Y. Webmaster: Scott Alguire
